Rimpton Fete - Saturday, 18 July
Rimpton Fete is held every two years to raise funds jointly for the church and the village hall. It was ‘touch and go’ as to whether the weather would allow us to play outside in the grounds of the village hall and no sooner had we started playing than the rain began spitting at us. It didn’t look good and we decided to relocate inside the hall for the rest of the afternoon. The poor audience was probably deafened by our music in the confined space, but it was appreciated nonetheless judging by the loud applause we received. Once again, Hootenanny was the clear favourite. And the cakes were delicious.
